Hey Doc how do u like Sonora from wise machine? Is it worth it?No worries, I'm almost out of money, so...
You and I share similar tastes is knives. I have two PITS and no War Bowie, but I do like the way the big blade looks.War bowie and pits landed today, love em both!
Hey Doc , I just ordered one. What do u think so far of your Sonora? This just in today!
* Machinewise Sonora Integral Ti Button Lock. Purple/Blurple Anodized Frame, with Magnacut blade. The action is fantastic for a button lock - I can't make it fail, and it feels like it has a detent ball. Also, it drops shut flawlessly. HRC is 62.5, while all the others in this batch were HRC 63 or 64, oh well...

Hey Doc , I just ordered one. What do u think so far of your Sonora?
Thank you Doc for your input, I got mine in regular titanium with brass . HRC-64.5.It's quite nice - the length and size is just right, but it's thinner than I expected. The action is crisp and sharp, not mushy and soft; so it feels more like a detent-ball action in a button lock. I often avoid button locks because I don't like the action, so this was my favorite surprise about the Sonora. It's also why I hesitated for so long and passed up on a few drops before taking the plunge, no pun intendedSo I'm happy I was not disappointed.
Fit and finish is superb, with great machining, texture, and perfectly centered and sharp blade. The Pocket clip works well with Duluth Flex cargo shorts; and it doesn't dig into my hand, even though it stands tall. Also the anodizing is almost color shifting purple with a hint of blue.
The stonewashed blade is quite smooth and slippery, and feels like it will resist fingerprints and scratches well. I have only opened envelopes or cut food with it so far (apple, meat stick, cheese) because I carry a "clean" knife for cutting anything that might touch my mouth, and a "dirty" knife for cutting tape and boxes or packages, or any heavy duty work, etc. They rated the Magnacut on mine at HRC 62.5, while others in this batch were 63 or 64, so that tells me that they test every single blade - I'm happy with it being in the 62-64 range.
It's thin so not as hand-filling as knives like my HogHouse Veli, Shirogorov F3 or F95, or Koenig Arius, but it feels just as well made. The feel in the hand reminds me more of my Brown Cortex XL, REK Sparrow, Herman Sting, or a Rob Johnsons Cypress or Cedar. All being very high quality knives that belong in the same category.
Nice collection, I see that u got Sonora good knife!
Which one is your favorite, if u had to pick one ?
