Everyone's latest acquisitions!

This fingerprint magnet showed today!
How did you pull that off? I thought it was a prototype of their upcoming custom offerings.

CPE (Paul Rasp) "Headhunter". A bit shorter OAL than the typical Headhunter model from Paul. Also changed the handle to a coffin style.
AEB-L blade (I loved this deep bellied design from the get-go), burlap micarta, copper pins.
Very well balanced in hand. I've had it less than 24 hours and I've already done some cutting and light chopping with it. I suppose given the presence of an integrated guard, this knife is considered a "fighter". Haven't had the opportunity to use it in a fight just yet...

Paul does a fantastic job. He is easy to work with and delivers a high quality product. I'm looking forward to my next CPE already.

Herman Sting - thanks to a good deal on the exchange.

Initial impressions - superb design all around. No matter how you engage the flipper, it flips solid into lock - only rivaled by my Skaha II (benchmark for me). Disengagement has no bump to overcome (another Skaha II benchmark for me), which seems to be really rare with flippers. FFG with thin blade stock and great cutting performance. I'm not a huge fan of the blade finish on this one - but that's really just subjective. I would have preferred something with more polish.

Ergos - excellent. Not perfect for my hand - but very impressive, and that's also a bit subjective anyway.

Liner lock - PERFECT. The lock bar, access, and the feel is simply among the best I've ever experienced on a folder. I would say it ties the Skaha II here.

Overall, I really love it. I appreciate the attention to detail in a lot of the design points that are important to me. Not I knife I would buy new at the prices they go for (but absolutely would if that was my budget range), but worth every penny to pick up a user when they pop up if you're a fan of flippers.

Incoming Wednesday!

* Exceed Designs AVAIR in M390 with Milled and Contoured Ti Frame Lock - Stonewashed and DLC. The action is so crisp and sweet I love it! And, the knife is so thin yet feels good in the hand! The forward lanyard hole in the tail off the backspacer looks like the lanyard would stay out of the way of your hand when cutting; and be more comfortable, at the risk of getting in the way of the closing blade IF you held it wrong. Most of the time I think it would be fine, and I'll likely do a lanyard and find out sometime. It could be a nice front pocket or back pocket knife, feeling small but offering a 4 finger grip. The edge is also very nice, even, and sharp.
