Been carrying the 0044 for about a week now. Initial thoughts:

Pros: Action is great. Flipping is solid and falls shut with the button. Great size and weight (just a shade over 3 oz) for carrying any time. Blade is thinner stock than usual ZT and has a high grind - very slicey. Ergos are great - the handle length and width are spot-on and it feels great in-hand. Feel reminds me a lot of my Asher Spiros, which is a good thing.

Cons: Mostly subjective here. I feel like the pricing is a bit steep. I like that it's a US-made knife that does a lot of things really well and fills a spot that isn't that easy to find. Closest thing I can think of is the Protech Malibu, which is much cheaper. I prefer the 0044 because the cutting performance is far better than the Malibu. I would have preferred some sort of texturing or maybe a different finish on the Ti grips, if not just for grip function (it is very smooth) but to give it some bit of style...it's very pedestrian for ZT. The black hardware and clip make it even more so for a production knife that's priced at $350. The internal spacer is turquoise to match the ring on the button - would have been cool if they had just done that with all the hardware.

In summary - the design is superb. I love how it works. I'm not terribly impressed with how it looks.

I'm pretty much always the chicken when it comes to certain GECs. Really nice combo!
Thank you. I had stepped away from GEC for a bit due to burnout caused by the fact that drops all seem to vanish in approximately .00136 business seconds, but I was very fortunate to be able to land these two. They are two of the finest knives ever to come out of Titusville that I've personally held, I've held many customs from known makers that aren't put together as well, and that's a fact.

I fully believe you. Waynorth + GEC are easily the best combo team.

The City Stock is the most appealing to have come out in recent times IMO. Nice score.
