Didn't care for that little nub, thought it would look better gone. That and the handle contoured to match.



Then I threw Joe (Flat Rock) another curve ball and said, "ever work with Ultem?"

I said no rush, and today he sent me a couple pics of what's coming in the mail.

ever work with Ultem?

back when it first started being put on knives :
First I thought unfortunate color of yellow.
Then I thought it was dumb
then I started wondering about it.
Then I ordered a knife with it and waited for it to arrive
. . . at which point I started looking around and realized :
the handles on my favorite Klein adjustable length tool bit holders are made from Ultem !
They've been going strong for over a decade of daily ALL DAY LONG , two handed , hard use ! ! !
I've got more than a dozen counting at work and at home .
guess it is good stuff and I like it after all

Welp, this finally arrived after a 6 month delay and an extremely frustrating experience with the maker. Great knife in principle but a big letdown for me. Hopefully I can flip it...
