Had to look into this. Apparently that's 416 Stainless Damascus. Never heard of 416 until now.

Those scales are unknown to me, fantastic irregardless!

Isnt 416 what washing machine drums are made of? Never have seen or known it to be used in knives. Pretty cool!

Wow! Did not know this. The guys I received from had a 1/2 dozen of his work. They weren’t sure much about blade and gave me his contact info for build specifics. Hadn’t had time to reach out or do much research. It’s a phenomenal build and same goes with the others I seen. Cool to know, thanks for info. When I talk to him I’ll relay any pertinent info.

Cruising the net and came across this mimi-Griptilian with blackened D2 steel blade. It's had moderate use but is in great shape - tight lock-up, etc. The D2 blade was a bit dull but a quick session on the rods has it hair popping sharp. This mini-Grip will fit right in with my other mini-Grips.

Ed, Modoc ED I forgot what a useful little knife the Mini Griptilian was, until you surprised me with that yellow one that traveled here with “Maggie”. Still so grateful, my friend! Maggie gets put through her paces regularly.
