Everyone's latest acquisitions!

Once again, I was not looking for another knife. But then KC had a free shipping weekend, so off I went, and this one popped up. Seeing as it was the 4th of July weekend, I saw this and it was a no-brainer. Eagle just called to me. Helps me forget those that would try to tear this country down. Not while this guy flies, fella.

A little anecdote - when it showed up today, as I was about to tear into the box, I was thinking to myself, of all the cheap Kershaws in my little collection, not a one of them ever disappointed out of the box as far as function goes. I’ve had some other pretty expensive examples that were difficult to operate (a couple so much so that they were returned), but never a Kershaw. Never needed a break-in, just worked as they should right from the get-go. So I unpacked this one and went to flip it, and it wouldn’t budge. Well isn’t that just a fine how-do-you-do. Not by flipper, not by thumbstud, not by grabbing it with two hands. Took it up to the work table prepared to do some surgery, starting with moving the clip to the tip-up carry position, when I saw that the Leek has a safety lock on the tip end, so the assisted open doesn’t accidentally open. My feel like an idiot moment for the day.

Anyway - the knife is definitely a looker in person. Snaps open, no wobbles, no lock stick, light-saber sharp, just perfect. And that big birdie almost brings a tear to my eye. Gonna keep this one out for awhile before tucking it away for safe keeping.
