This is one of those upgrades that makes me wish I'd waited to buy the new and improved version, instead of getting the red G10/D2 version when it came out. I pretty much just use mine as a fidget sacrifice knife at my desk, to save the bearings on my other knives, but I'd treat this upgraded version with a lot more respect.Thanks! This one has carbon fiber liners; so it's pretty light...
I'm still warming up to the action. It doesn't feel a bit like an Axis or ABEL lock. It's sluggish right out of the gate; but seems to smooth out after that. I'm hoping that it will eventually smooth out across the entire Blade's path of travel.
Mine had smooth action right out of the box. That's why it became the fidget sacrifice knife. It took me a moment to get used to the XR lock, but once I did it's practically like a one-legged balisong. It's possible that the detent setting is over tightened or blade a little off-centre.Do they smooth out over time?
