Everyone's latest acquisitions!

When it rains, it pours. Bought 3 knives off othe Exchange in the week & 1/2 and they all arrived at the same time. LOL! ;)

The 1st and BEST of the bunch IMO is one that some people consider one of the "grail" knives in the ZT line.

The RJ Martin ZT 0600. The price was just a bit over my previous price limit, but this is a hard knife to find and the extra $ spent wasn't all that much. So, I bought it and don't regret it. I think that it's one of the "prettiest" ZTs ever made and is a great addition to my ZT collection.

What surprised me about the knife was how large it was. It is a fraction longer/larger than all of the other notably large ZTs in my collection and there's absolutely, nothing "wrong" w/that IMO. :)

The 3rd and last knife that I received today is an RMJ "Da Choppa" that I bought simply because I "liked" the way it "looked" and I wasn't disappointed after getting a chance to look at/handle it in person.

What little research I did on the 80CrV2 steel used in it's construction (before I bought the knife) indicates that it is a very hard/tough steel suitable for camp use. 80CrV2 is not stainless but it has been cerakoted to help prevent/reduce corrison.

It looks large but it is not the largest chopper that I own. However, I think that it's certainly the most "stylish." The largest chopper in my collection is the Ontario SP8 (1095) pictured w/Da Choppa and a Sheffield MOD Survival Knife (KNF061) below:

I am also planning to buy an RMJ Sparrow to pair w/Da Chopper for camp use. The Sparrow's blade, which is made w/S45VN steel, is also cerakoted and I think that it will complement the Da Choppa nicely in both form/function.

Finally took the leap and bought my first ProTech. The operator TR-3 X1 came into today! Man does that knife fire hard. The only other auto I have is the Gerber 06, and this knife puts a lot into perspective. I can see this knife getting a lot of pocket time….and plus she’s sexy!
They feel about like a hand grenade detonating in your paw. My TR-3 does the same thing!
My 06 is also a soft opener: I wonder if that is by design?
My Empower fires a whole lot harder.
Perhaps they designed it to be a bit stealthier?
