Everyone's latest acquisitions!

My Rosarms model 'Baby' came in today 👍😁👍

It's almost a dead ringer in overall size to my Western W49 Bowie Knife.

I guess the Baby model has been offered in the past having no spine serrations, but my specimen does have them.
Just from a collector's standpoint, I feel the 'Baby' knife would look quite bland without them, with the serrations giving the knife a standout feature.

It's crazy how many different companies and models have use that same design. And yet all of them are just awesome. Not so many as if it's overused or anything, it's just crazy that there's quite a few different models in the same design. I guess that speaks to Harsey's engineering.

Over the weekend, my mother gave me all of the knives my dad had collected over the years. That makes these somewhat bittersweet acquisitions for me, truth be told. I thought about posting one big family photo of them, and I may yet. For the moment, though, I'll start with this one.

I think this one was originally mine back in the 1980s, but I didn't take it with me when I moved out, so it went into Dad's collection. It says "Benchmark Knives" on the ricasso. (Is that right? On the blade, right next to the guard?) It does not look like any of the images that come up when I search for "Benchmark knives" on the internet, but it is close to 40 years old, so no big surprise there.
