All three slip joints have been acquired within the last 2 weeks, but the CF Joel Chamblin I received today from fellow member Initial Conditions.
On the top is a custom Alan Davis with Damasteel blade and Elk horn covers; on the right is the Benchmade Gold Class "Proper" with Damasteel blade, Mokume Gane Bolsters, and black/Burgandy Micarta covers; and, finally, an Armory Division custom Wharncliffe slip joint from Joel Chamblin and JVO Designs, featuring a hand rubbed satin finished 154 CM blade (I believe it is 154 CM but it could be CPM 154), fluted stainless steel bolsters, lightning strike carbon fiber covers, and stainless steel liners and spring.

Hello. I've been trying to learn more about low alloy, high carbon steel/knives. I purchased this Spyderco Military in 52100. It was in "as new" condition. I believe it was part of a sprint run in 2016(?). After receiving it, I did a vinegar patina on the blade.
I've done some sharpening using different abrasives, progressions, etc. I like the knife, but this 52100 reacts a little differently to the abrasives and progressions I've been trying with Shirogami and Aogami. More to learn. Best regards and God bless.
