Gary W. Graley Gary W. Graley made and installed it. He will also sharpen knives and do the lanyards for a fair fee that includes return shipping, and can make leather pocket slips or belt sheaths for them while he has the knife.

Thanks, we're in contact about making me a lanyard or three. I used to enjoy knotwork, fingerweaving and similar arts, but with RA I'd rather pay someone to do it instead of my hands hurting for days afterward.

Paracord arts and crafts with my 8 year old and my new to me beat to hell Ebay shaman. Spent 2 hours this morning cleaning who knows what out of it. Will definitely need a tip reprofile but I got it to open and close with a centered blade and a basic edge over 85% of it's length. I could have done worse placing random bids on ebay after drinking.

Kizer ginesis right?!? I was thinking about getting one for my dad for Christmas… how do you like it so far?
I like mine a lot.

It has lots of positive attributes for such a competitively priced knife: The action is nice and snappy, though a bit stiff (it is still breaking in). The edge is keen and "slicey," as the spear point blade is relatively thin. And the scale treatment--carbon fiber(?) over bronze tone titanium--is something you're likely to see only in knives costing at least $50 m0re.

I appreciate the Ginesis' "medium" size. For me, it's just right for everyday carry--and I carry it a lot whether I'm wearing jeans or khakis. It's certainly a heavier than, say, my BM Bugout, but not objectionably so. Instead, it feels much more substantial.

If these are the kind of attributes your dad would value, by all means, do consider the Ginesis. It's a real sleeper from Kizer.
