Everything happens for a reason… Grimsmo Rask

I have a large tube of TW25 for my handguns that I have been using in my knives with great success. Makes anything with washers butter smooth.
Hmmm yea that looks like some good stuff, I appreciate it! I've used the Hoppe's oil for the past decade and a half in all my knives and it's always worked great. Just a tiny amount is all I use. The CRK fluorinated grease is really nice for certain applications too. I was mainly thinking some sort of dry lubricant just specifically for the detent ball. The detent ball path on the blade seems to be the spot most responsible whenever one of my knives' action starts slowing down and feeling nasty. I was thinking just a pin prick of dry lubricant on the detent ball might be ideal for not collecting grime, while also easing the resistance just a bit.

Yea, I bought a large tube back when I had a few more SIGs in the collection, but a little goes a very long way, so here I am years later with still a lot on hand 😂 luckily it works great for all sorts of applications.

Grimsmo is fairly close to my neck of the woods... I'm hoping they'll do a rask in magnacut, ... a great yet simple design, which I really appreciate

great story, thx for sharing
not sure if you've seen this - but it's great to see their actual operation

Nice knife! The Rask is a cool pattern. I might need to get some nano-oil. Looks like it comes in 5, 10, or 85 weight, which one do you recommend? However I did run across a small fine-tipped applicator tube, so maybe I can just use my standard Hoppes #9 gun oil in it (when I'm not using the CRK flourinated grease).
I had a tube with needle nose dispenser before I got the Rask with its own nano oil. I've been using 10w. The needle nose applicator version sold through Amazon.

I've seen dozens of their videos. It is one reason I went for this knife... to even see the care they went through to design and make their own titanium screws... The Grimsmo brothers have very much personalized their company through You Tube. I imagine a magnacut blade will just add another $100 to the cost. This CPM154 has worked great for me so far. I have not yet sharpened it.

10w, alright thanks my friend. I'll check that out also. Very nice knife!
