So, chop one off.

His post was based on the assumption of batoning pieces of wood down for a fire.

If you’re gonna split wood for a fire, it’s a given that you have to have some wood around, correct?

Use one of the pieces of said wood to beat the knife through the other pieces of uhhh, wood?

Or are you gonna carry a baton around with your knife looking for pieces of wood to baton through, when you could’ve used a piece of the wood you found as a baton?
