OK, love is a strong word. But I have bought a few knives that's I've been super impressed and happy with you could almost call it love?

I knocked a few off my must have list this year - bark river bravo 1, a woodlore sytle bushcraft knife and the esee jg3. My like my bravo 1 (probaby the best all around knife imo) the woodlore is also fantastic. But the esee jg3 is just so perfect I think. Love the size and shape.... Everything about it. I think its gonna make a good skinner this deer season and still a great size to edc if you wanted.

What knives have you owned that you would say you "loved"?

I would be in deep trouble
If i was to state an undying preference for one
over the rest of the harem.
I simply cannot bring myself to admit that
I might have made mistakes with past choices.
So i m going to say that having carried
every one of my swiss army knives over the years
Still feels like going to a dream prom each day with
A set of near identical quadruplets.

Yup my Mora Classic #1 I bought it as an add on for $10 I think it got me free shipping or something like that. Anyway I bought it to see why so many folks recommend these ugly little knives and because it was the cheapest one offered at the time. Its my go to fixed blade and the one I judge all other similar knives to.

The other is my Victorinox Pioneer. I can't imagine not having the awlsome awl and drivers. Plus the edge geometry puts most other knives available today to shame.

My two most used blades for some time now, haven't purchased a knife in well over a year.

I very much like my Vic SAK, Spyderco Native 5 and Kiwi 4, GEC #42, BK-15, Dozier Pro Guides Knife, Dozier Personal, Fallkniven F1, Blackjack 124 and 125.

I have a love hate "relationship" with large fixed bladed knives (>6").

Fallkniven volcano. The first time I saw it I got all damp and knew immediately I had to have it. Probably spent the next 12-16 hrs searching it out. Finally found one in stock and jumped on it. Someone on another forum said it looks like Monica Bellucci and I agree. Just beautiful. Pretty impressed with the LAM COS steel as well.

Also in love with my Mann Edge True American

Spyderco Techno, Spyderco Slysz Bowie, Grimsmo Norseman, and a CRK Umnumzaan. I love all of them for various reasons, and none of them are ever leaving my collection. All just fantastic knives that are near perfect in my opinion!

I can find fault with almost any knife so I have a love/hate relationship with most knives. I am probably more in love with my Kershaw Zing and CRKT Prowler than any other knives I own because I keep going back to them after I get a new knife.

I have loved many knives, and then set them free to love others...!

Seriously though, love is not really the right word, but I think I get what you mean.

The knife I LIKE the most (and I don't even own one currently) is a Strider SMF.

I think when you get to the point where trying different things is fun as opposed to a search for "the perfect knife", and you try to fund this crazy hobby through the hobby, it gets really hard to get too attached to one knife.

You get to the point where you understand what you like, so you end up constantly switching up knives and "liking" a lot of them....

I think I get what you mean. For me, it's simply that every time you use that particular knife, you're more impressed with it. There are several that I have that feeling about.

Here are a few of mine that won't ever leave the rotation:

The "one" for me right now is a Strider SMF with a Dwyer style recurve blade in S110V steel. This particular knife is tan with an American flag in the G10. I've been on a Strider tear lately, 7 in the last couple months, but this one feels perfect. I find myself going back to it more often than anything else. I have a DDC SMF that will arrive tomorrow, so this might change. 😀

I have a couple of Spydercos that I hope to keep around...
Several special CRKs...
Strider SMF DGG...
Jim Burke Blade Show collab...
I don't use them...but do enjoy them.
