Where you been, son?

They have them in every color, now.

They also have ZTs, a couple Spydercos, and two ESEE ripoffs.

Oh, yes. I think I saw a couple Chris Reeve copies there, too....

Yeah I suppose I've seen a lot of fakes lately. Shouldn't be surprised.

Been on a bit of a rant on all these fakes recently.

Same with the 5.11 karambit. Those fakes look as fake as fake gets though. I find that when I select ships from North America, a lot of the knock-offs from overseas disappear.

It's unfortunate buts as Mr. Balls stated, at least they have the decency to call it a RH "style" knife.

A watch forum I belong to has no issues with folks selling "homage" Panerais or Rollie's so how is this different?

Imitation is the greatest form of flattery and perhaps for some without the super deep pockets required to get the genuine

Article, this provides an opportunity to give it a test ride before draining the bank account.

A friend gifted me a "Flochsa" a couple of years ago and I have beat on it mercilessly and it's still tight, no blade play, lock

up issues or performance issues whatsoever. I'm beginning to convince myself it's the genuine article. I doubt it for 225.00.

Yea apparently these have been out for a while. Even nutnfancy did a review on these at one point, he took it down do to people screaming about copyright laws. If I remember correctly he said that these chines knockoffs or really good knives for the money if you can live with the fact that they are made of obviously lesser quality materials and a stolen design without royalties paid to Rick. If given the chance I would be interested in checking one out but would never pay for it. I could not live with myself knowing the politics behind it. Detritus scum over there in China...

Second thread on same topic.

I think there have been more threads on the topic of fakes than that, Thomas. In fact, there are probably more threads on the topic of fakes/counterfeits/clones/tribute knives than on just about any other topic besides PayPal. And no, fakes aren't going to go away . . . rants notwithstanding. Like global warming, they're a fact of life.

Rules For The Exchange & Discussion Forums - (All Rules Apply Site-Wide) UPDATED 3/1/14

SECTION 5 - Miscellaneous
Fakes/Homages-
As fakes and homage items are a legal gray area and obviously hurt the hobby, no fake or homage items may be sold on the Exchange. Members may not knowingly sell unlicensed knockoffs or counterfeit versions of knives (or any other goods) based upon the designs of their legitimate owner, manufacturer or custom maker. Additionally, members may not sell any knife or item known or suspected to be other than as described in terms of its lineage and authenticity.
