I was looking for a versatile sharpener for my kitchen knives and found this one here at Amazon. The grid is just rough enough to remove some steel of the edge without making it too coarse. And the big advantage of the flat oval shape is that it enables you to sharpen serrated blades as well. Not bad for ten bucks.
