I recently concluded a deal with SSS. The communication and response time were excellent. I would not hesitate to deal with him again.

I have done two deals with SSS and have no complaints. He communicated quickly and sent them fairly quickly. I understand there was an issue on a trade which is different than my purchase of two knives from SSS but nevertheless, he did conduct himself in a fair manner with me on my two dealings with him.:)

Just completed a deal with Raymond aka SSS. It was a purchase of a new knife and in my case, all went well. Great knife (MT), fair price, good communications, and fast shipping. Hate to see problems develop to the extent they did with the trade on the other thread. Reputation/Integrity is everything with transactions, especially with trades, and (IMHO) no amount of money and no knife is worth tarnishing one's own.;) Laters, Greg

Guys,

In my thread about SSS, I did state that I didn't feel that people should not do business with him because of our "transaction".
My soul purpose in the post was to see how everyone else felt about the whole ordeal and to see if we could come to some resolution. I just wanted to make that point clear.

Still to this day, I have received no email from SSS explaining why he did what he did. And he didn't refund my shipping which I feel is retaliation from posting my thread.

I understand that everyone isn't perfect and one or two "sour deals" shouldn't stop people from buying from SSS.

And I am sure that everyone that purchased a knife from him had great deals. I would like to know if anyone actually completed a trade with him, though.

Anyways, if anyone is thinking about buying a knife from SSS, go for it.

Hello,
Recently concluded a good deal with SSS. He communicated well, did exactly what he said he was going to do. I would not hesitate to do business with him again.

Edward Bear:)

I have never done a deal with SSS, but just exchanged emails with him and he appears to me to be a real nice fella. I wouldn't have any problem dealing with him at all.

I'm injecting my two cents in here, not about the SSS incident, but about the existance of this thread.

The big guy himself closed off the thread, but instead of leaving it alone, some guy decides to open up a new one...

Secondly, honor is not about the hundreds of good deals a guy has, but how one conducts himself when a deal goes sour.

You're a little confused, Mutt -- this thread was started on the 11th, and has nothing to do with the reasons that other thread was closed.

While I'm here.... We've completed our investigation and decided SSS fits our definition of a dealer, so he will no longer be advertising in the non-dealer forums. IMHO he wasn't deliberately trying to fool anybody; it was just some confusion about the definition of a dealer. Whether he decides to get a dealer membership and advertise in the appropriate forum now is up to him.

Interpol strikes again.

I'd still like to hear why sticknrun hasn't got his shipping costs back, just the same.

switched, I thought I answered that.

Sticknrun,

Yes you did.

SSS said ", I will refund your shipping when I ship these back to you, then again, I feel I owe this much to you."

Your response was "Absolutely not! I gave you all of the information that you needed on both of those knives."

I have said all I have to say on this matter; it is up to the members to decide. :)

Well yes. But I've also answered what you say there. It wasn't an all bets off situation, regardless. I thought you'd agreed with that proposition actually, but anyway...

Hey in relation to that last one of mine over there. There was no 'disagreement', so far as I could tell - those were just some general observations.

I'm certainly done with this one, in any event.

I think.

RGRAY, I hate to get this going again, but SitckNrun was refering to him sending his knives back!! Not as to refunding shipping. You will notice, right after Absolutly not, he demanded he ship him the AFO as per there agreement.

To me a 3 day inspection period is to acertain and verify the CONDITION of the knives, not to see if you like them better than yours or can make more money off of them or not. I really want MT's new D/A, however I can't afford one. I could however afford to fork over the money on a payday, play with the knife for 3 days and then ask for my money back. Thats not a fair thing to do is it?

On that note, I needed some cash bad not too long ago and sold a Delta Z Stiletto to a fellow formite. The knife was NIB. I even included a picture with the post. I recieved payment via PayPal and sent the knife. A week later I got an e-mail saying that the knife I sent didn't say Delta Z on the blade and he wanted to return it. Anyone that has ever seen a Delta Z Stiletto can tell you that it has the factory marks on the blade and NONE of them say Delta Z. But I accepted the return and all was well. I did this because I wanted to make the guy happy with our transaction, however I do not feel I was obligated. It was EXACTLY what I described.

The Golden rule as mentioned is Both parties should be happy, however as mentioned, it appears thats not the case here.

Ok, sorry to post this, but due to the replies above, I thought I should
