Exclusive 110

Well thanks to mbjannusch I couldn't get this particular 110 off my mind. Wasn't willing to pay SMKW's steep tariff on S&H but got an email this weekend that shipping was $0.01 on any purchase over $35. That was too much for my limited will power to resist. Should be in hand this evening. Hope it's as nice as some of the ones posted have been. It'll be my first horn scaled 110. WooHoo!


P.S. Since this is a SMKW exclusive and IIRC their availabiliy has been on again, off again does anyone know if Buck is still making runs of this for SMKW or did they just run across some more in the back room? Just curious if it's a new production model?
 
Well as much sh*t as I got for this thread, Its all worth the back and forth of a few to help out someone who really wanted this knife and got it. Badhammer, congrats and enjoy your new 110, I thought they were really cool looking, and people would appreciate the heads up without breaking any forum rules on DEAL SPOTTING...

Well that sucks. The big brown truck just came up my street and didn't even slow down. The tracking showed it hit town just before 8am so even though it didn't way "out for delivery" I kind of hoped it was. Oh well, what's another 23 hours? Thank goodness Netflicks didn't let me down.
 
Well it arrived today and I've very pleased! The bone scales are fairly dark and uniform without the slight figure/variations like the photo at the beginning of this thread but attractive all the same. I'm really liking nickel bolsters, this makes my third or fourth model with that material. For the most part the rest is pretty much your standard Buck. Nice sharp blade, tight lock up with no blade play, centered blade, etc. The date stamp is 2010 and the box is marked 07/15/2010. Other than wishing it came with a nice leather sheath instead of nylon I don't have a negative thing to say about it even that isn't really a negative I guess. Was going to try and take a quick pic but I think it deserves better so I'll try and get some nice ones for the coming Sunday Picture Show.
