EXCLUSIVE GIVEAWAY for FATHER'S DAY

So Marketing at Civivi/WE knives sent out a correction email that the name and post got mixed and someone else actually won. I saw because I was sending an email back (already sent an email with my address)letting them know the confusion of the name and post etc above. I responded anyway and wanted to let everyone here know that these people are first rate. I couldn't in good conscience take a prize away from someone else but because of the confusion, they are sending me something anyway. I think that is pretty cool. Honestly doesn't matter if it is something as simple as some stickers or as awesome as one of their knives.

Thank you, Jon. I saw my post quoted, but your name in the message. I initially responded with, "Did I win?" because I wasn't entirely sure myself. WE indicated it was for a Riffle so I thought I had won.

I did send an email to the address for WE and provided a link to this thread. I said, "I think I was chosen...." because I didn't want to claim something that should go to you. I did get a reply that I was chosen.

I believe the person running this raffle is the same person that does WE and Civivi videos on Youtube. He does a great job and he seems very gracious in the emails you put up above.

If it's any consolation, I think the last time I won anything in a raffle was some cupcakes in elementary school.

Button lock elementum! Preferably a fancy version with Damascus blade because he doesn't use a knife too often but does appreciate the styling of them and the button lock is great for his older hands.

Lol. I am glad you won. I think you and I are on the same page here. Congrats again. I think you are right on the videos thing. Stand up guy it seems. I enjoy their knives, and this just makes me want to buy a few more from them.

**Raffle Riffle Received!**

The Riffle just showed up and it's a great knife! It's a great EDC size with about a 3.5 inch blade. The detent is perfect for the flipper and using the blade cut out to "Spydie flick." The handle is a great size for a four finger grip with no hot spots. Excellent fit and finish. Perfect centering. Great action and the blade closes with a light shake. The micarta is great quality with excellent machining and there's even a matching micarta backspacer. Except for the T6 clip screws, all hardware is T8 and of good quality. Great packaging with the box, zipper pouch, cleaning cloth, and stickers.

There were a few pleasant surprises with the knife. I'm not sure why, but I was expecting the blade stock to be a little thick. It's actually very thin especially behind the edge and I think it will be a great slicer. The 14C28N steel is surprising at the price, too. The edge came EXTREMELY sharp and looks perfectly symmetrical. The stonewash on the blade and liners is a perfect match. Access to the liner is perfect - plenty of room and very easy to unlock.

There are a lot of interesting details on the knife, too. Instead of having a stop pin in the liners, there's a pin that goes through the blade and rests against both liners. This seems to give the blade even more of a solid lockup. The jimping on the blade spine and flipper are perfect - grippy, but not too aggressive with nice chamfers.

There's also a hidden lanyard pin just behind the backspacer so there's no lanyard hole that forces the pocket clip into an odd spot.

The pocket clip seems to be a newer evolution of the clip on an older Civivi I have. The new one seems to be very well thought out with good spring. The screws are flush with the clip, too.

Overall, it's a great knife and even better when you consider the price point.

Thank you again to WE Knife Media WE Knife Media for this giveaway and shipping such a great knife so quickly!

I am not very good at taking pictures, but here's the Riffle in all its glory. I included a picture of the backspacer and hidden lanyard pin.

That is a great looking folder. WE knives definately delivered. Out of the confusion of the contest WE mentioned my name with NWPM2's post. Again, they didn't need to, but they sent me a knife as well. The Brazen with Purple G10 scales. I have to be honest, purple is not something I would have bought, but this thing is awesome. Just what you would except in the quality. Action is amazing, and I love the combo flipper/thumb stud. I am carrying it now. Adding to the CIVIVI collection, and plan on getting many, many more.
