The Blur was the gateway knife that caused my addiction. I have had a few throughout the years but now I see Kershaw is making them with different blade steels and in all kinds of colors. I have had the Cr8Mov, the Sandvik, and now an s30v bladed Blur. What other steels do they come in? What am I missing?

Feel free to post some pics and list some steel.

I just wanted to first say The blur never came in 8cr.

With that out of the way... I'll see if I can remember all the steels! 420hc, 440v (s60v) s30v, cpm154, 14c28n, 13c26n, bdz-1, zdp-189 composite blade, SG2, Elmax....I know I'm forgetting something!

Color wise has been almost the whole rainbow!

Honestly I love the blur, and I love the fact it's so easy to FrankenBlur (with which I have a slight thing for)!

I'm sorry. I guess I confused it with other Kershaws I had in 8cr.

No worries.

Honestly there's over 70 different models that I can recall so most people are bound to find something that fancies their taste!

As an aside, my wife got me a nice black+ red that's got a serrated partial blade,,it seems to be serrations you really can't sharpen like a spyderco say?,, any suggestions? Why did they chose these for the blade????

You can get CTS-BZD1 tanto bladed Blurs right now for under $50 new (Green and Purple seem like the two I see most online for under $50)

Not really "exotic" but something different.

Elmax.

I think bad_juju listed all the steels the Blur has come in. The "standard" steel for the Blurs has been the Sandvik steels (originally 13C26, and later/current 14C28N). I think either the SG2 or 440V ones were the rarest.

In addition to all the handle colors, there have also been several different handle inserts (the original grip tape-like material, the more current TracTec, carbon fiber, silver twill, and possibly others).

Here are some of my Blurs... Several are FrankenBlurs...

The great thing about the Blur is that you can customize it, de-assist it, do pretty much whatever you want. I swapped blades on this one because I like the standard black handle and the flat grind blackwash Elmax blade.

I'm a sucker for the composite blades. I do wonder why they haven't done a damascus blur yet though, stick that in a green handle and I'd be in love.
