'Exotic' travel locations

Completely awesome thread.

I'm lookin' for some of mine, unfortunately, I don't have any digi's. I'll have to scan them.

Oooo... Sin City.
Nice.
Reminds me of desert times... and pre-digital photos, Moose.

Trinity Test Site (first A-bomb detonation) - open one day a year, as I recall:

VLA (you saw 'Contact', right?).
Frickin' AMAZING when all those dishes start to move at once. All the cabling is underground and they can transport the dishes around into other configurations on a rail system:

Just keep your eyes out for Wayne Whittaker. After losing his bid for Alderman, well, he has been in a really bad mood. Legend has it at night you can hear him roaming the streets, crying out for his lost election.

Dang, you alll have been to some great places!!

No pics but I spent 2 months working on a soy bean farm in IL for my family one summer, that was good times and very exotic!! :D :D

Really though the most exotic place I have been is to Waikiki Beach in Oahu HI. No diggie pics and the prints are at home packed away. Don't care to go back, it was a nice vacation and I did propose to my wife there but it was just too damn crowded. We walked the beach for an hour while I was looking for a private spot to pop the question and this was sometime after 1am..... Tourist trap!!

does this count as 'exotic' ! didnt find any knife+location pics guys, but they where there two ;)

Orinoco Delta Venezuela.

Kleine Knip beach Curaçao

Yeah, Waikiki is just a tourist strip on a beach now. Blech.
The REST of Hawaii is another story. Even just outside Honolulu is gorgeous.

Nice beaches, pietje!

Yeah I wouldn't mind visiting some of the smaller islands, in fact I would like to take the wife and get re-married on the beach!!

Loved the water, sand, smells and locals!!

You smelled the locals? And they're ok with that?

BTW, I *LOVE* the wild ocean sunset pix. More!

You just wait. I'm gonna scan some more pix in. I didn't always have a digital camera.

If I ever get around to scanning all the film I've taken...

Circle, Alaska was pretty "exotic", ditto French Guaina. But Wake Island is the only place I've been that no one else seems to have stopped at.

Here's a shot of the old Souk in Doha, Qatar for those who need a visual aid.

It's really cool to see where some of you guys have been. Amazing stuff!

Here are a few that I found:

Just southwest of Santarem, Para, Brazil, along the Tapajos river on our way into the Amazon jungle. Found a little surprise...

A sequoia that we set out for. (I have a picture of a bigger one, but I can't find it at the moment. I'll upload it later.)

On the road in Northern Germany, on our way to Wittenburg, where Martin Luther made a pretty ballsy move...

I see what you did there... snuck that right in. Very stealthy.

These are taken from a trip to Israel with my wife in 2010. No Becker pics on this trip, but what a wonderful time! I'm actually planning on going back and backpacking in the Negev...but that's a few years out. Anyway, hope you enjoy the pics!
