I picked up 6 different types of exotic woods yesterday, and I finally got them cut into blocks and cleaned up. The blocks are approx. 1x1.5x5" but some are a little larger, and a few are just under (none are under 7/8" thick). Here's a picture of them:

From left to right, they are Obele, Bitterwood, Cabbage Bark, Bullet Tree, Black Poison, and Nargusta.
These are probably common names, but they are how I know them. They were all cut from the forests in Belize, in Central America.

I am low on Nargusta, so I will sell two sets. One set with the first 5 in the picture (Not the one on the far right) for $20 shipped CONUS. You can also get a set of all 6 varieties for $25 shipped CONUS. Paypal is: masterofknife@gmail.com

I can also cut them into 3/8" scales for $1 per block.

Thank you for looking!

I just wanted to mention about the hardness of the woods. The hardest is Bullet Tree, second is cabbage bark, third, fourth and fifth are very close, and are obele, bitterwood, and black poison, and the softest wood (very similar to harder oaks) is Nargusta.

Thanks for clearing that up Mike. When you said the Sapidillo was soft I was thinking along the lines of pine, not Oak.

Fun fact here: The obele turns brighter orange when exposed to UV light over time.

By the way, Captain: shoot me an email, because you don't have yours set up.

When I got this wood, I was told that the last one is Sapidillo (Sapodilla), but upon some research, I have discovered that the wood is in fact Nargusta. I've changed it from all of the posts.

Sorry for any misleadings that I may have caused.

Mike,

I'll take two sets of six if they are available. If not, please let me know what is.

Also, I got my Poison Wood blocks. I had been out of town for a while and they were waiting on me when I got back yesterday.

WOW !!! You had great pictures on that thread........ BUT, they look even better than the pics.......:thumbup:
Very nice indeed !!!!!!

Thanks Mike.... waiting to hear....... :)

Mike,
I got the wood today, again.... all very nice.......
Thanks for the easy transaction !!!! ;)

It's been over a week since I've sold any, so I'm going to give a free block with a set of 6 purchase, so you would be getting all six varieties, and your choice of a second block of any of the wood in this. I can also offer a block of coffee bean, birdseye maple, walnut, red elm, cherry, and hickory blocks. Two Brazilian cherry scales can be substituted for any free block for $2 more.
