Expanding on my tanto design

The vibe I get from that knife is pretty, yet brutal. It makes me want to punch a bunch of holes in something with it, maybe a steel drum.
Wish I had one for an adventure knife! Great work.

far from mediocre camera skills, imo.
this lil beauty looks like one hell of a cutter.
Nice job brother Matthew!

Just giving props to my west coast brother. :D

Thanks for the kind words, gang. This is the first of these, with another one that's just a bit larger almost done. Maybe later this weekend...

Bigger. And then even bigger. I'd like to see nothing less than a full-on balanced, hilted, M.Gregory SWORD. :D

Well, I'd say the next one is halfway there. Stay tuned!

I have one more of these eight inchers to show, and if I can get my stuff in order I'll add a couple shots of it to this thread. That one is spoken for, as well, but the tip grind is different, and I like it - totally different flow. Also, it has an awesome grey rayskin handle and a slithery little snake menuki. Gimme a bit!

Here's another take on the same profile. Same spine treatment, same dimensions, just a different tip geometry, and really clean looking grey rayskin with a snake menuki. I really love the way this one turned out. Both are great, but great in their own way...

It's a very subtle change on the grind, but the effect produces an entirely different look.

This one is waiting on a sheath, and will be headed for it's home on the West Coast some time this week, with any luck.

Amazing what adding a man sized handle can do :)

Stellar work Matt

Just because you've got big sausage fingers, you lummox, doesn't make my handles too small.

...big, ugly bear...

:D

Agreed. The last one was simply too short, but it was concealable. These just aren't going to allow for that, at least not on my beanpole frame.

Yep. I'm fairly certain that it's new owner will be very happy indeed.:D

Really loving the blade profile and grind. Not a molecule out of place. The gray rayskin, silver snake menuki, and black wrap all blend in a very satisfying and subtle way. Very fine work Matt. Mike

That snake menuki with the grey rayskin and black wrap is just evil, man. You are killin' it, brother!

Congrats Mike, awesome score!

Really cool looking knife Matt, very nice work.
