I wanted to make an expedition grade knife that could handle wood-chores like batoning while still being nimble in the hand for more finite tasks. This will baton wood like a champ, but is not nose-heavy like a true chopper. By bringing the balance back, it retains a quickness in the hand that lends itself to detailed tasks and precise control in a substantial knife that isn't uncomfortably heavy. The pommel end of things is flared a tad more than usual to aid in retention on the backstroke, while the deep choil keeps your booger hooks off the scary stuff.

Steel: 1095 , HT by me, quenched in Parks 50, Tempered to 58hrc
Blade: High flat ground, distal taper, 7.5" long and 3/16" thick at the ricasso. Machine Finished (scotchbrite VF). Forge scale flats.
Scales: Black/Orange G10. Fixed with Brass pins and lanyard hole andWest Systems epoxy. Sculpted for retention, though not overly aggressive so as to fatigue your hand or become uncomfortable.
OAL:12.25"
Not Pictured: Your choice of leather (color your choice as well), or kydex sheath. PLEASE NOTE-I have some doctors appointments this week and the sheath MAY not be completed until the weekend (AT THE VERY LATEST)
Price: $old shipped CONUS. Will discuss shipping international with the buyer.
Paypal or postal money order

My goal is to make great knives and new friends, and not in that order. If you ever have a problem with a knife, you can call or email me and we will work out a solution, even if you've abused it. If you get it, and it isn't what you thought it would be, I'll refund your money and pay the return shipping. Just keep it in the condition you found it. Pretty straight-forward :D

I thank you all for the kind words and warm reception.

Nice knife! I like the way the file work almost matches the handle - grindwise, and of course "boogerhooks"- will now be in daily rotation -
