I sent John Lee some feedback challenging their website's derogatory comments toward balisongs and got an arrogant reply.
He also makes the following statement about Spyderco on their Benchmade page:
I find that to be a chickensh!t cheap-shot taken at a company whose middle name is customer service.
I suspect knives do not make up a large portion of their sales. Makes me wonder if they're equally ignorant of their other product lines as well.
Does anyone here have any experience with this outfit? They're certainly entitled to their opinions, but I'm not inclined to do business with anyone who treats customers poorly BEFORE they have your money.

The Spyderco's handle components were assembled and then ground flush with each other to mask the manufacturing flaws. This is perfectly acceptable on a knife that is riveted together and intended to be thrown away if a component breaks.
