Experience with Artisan Cutlery?

I've been looking at my Centros and from the side, it looks like only a portion of the liner engages the blade tang, which I'm not used to seeing in a liner lock. The lock up is still early and again, spine whacks have done nothing to the knife but I'm not confident enough to carry it. Did I get a lemon?

That looks normal to me, I’d imagine you should be fine carrying it.

I've got 5 of the cheaper D2 versions of the Waistline, Shark, Hornet, Zumwalt and Dragonfly.

The Waistline was the 1st I bought and is still my favorite. The Shark is 2nd favorite but I could do w/o the others. Nevertheless, they are all well made knives and an excellent value at around $50-65 each.
