Experience with failing sliding button lock on their Victorinoxes?

Thanks Bartleby. I have an adventurer, I guess it's about 17 years old now, still going strong, including the sliding lock. Still closes with a decisive "click"! and the lockup is still great (not really used hard, though).

I bought my Adventurer in the early 90s, prior to moving to Europe for the first time. For the first five years I lived here, that and a Classic on my keychain were my only knives. I carried it daily and on many backpacking trips, weekend get-aways, ski trips, etc. These days it lives in a drawer in the kitchen but I still carry it from time to time and it still rocks! No problem ever with the lock.
