Boink...
I do have Queens with D2 - and I
really like them
(
recent review of some here)
I also have Schatt & Morgans in ATS-34 and 420HC, and I
really like those too
(
recent review of one here)
But I am a nit picking SOB when I review knives, so I pick up on just about anything that I don't like.
.... and the only thing that I don't like about the Queen made knives is the sharp corners on the exposed part of the tangs with the blades closed. But they are almost all like that, and it can be cured easily.
Apart from that "feature" I
really like the Queen & Schatt & Morgan knives over
any other production knives.
Fit & finish on the Schatt line - yes!
I'd go as far as to say that when you handle any Schatt & Morgan knife then it will make your jaw drop and saliva start to drip, and.... anyhow, you get the picture!
Cheers
Rod
ps... in another thread, you said:
I had the opportunity to handle some very old Case knives at a collector's show and I must say, they certainly did some excellent work back then. The knives I handled were extraordinary for production knives. Materials were superlative.
That, Boink, is where the Schatt & Morgan knives are now. (And in better steels too).
