Hi everyone! Just wanted to let everyone know about a good experience I had with Eric Yakush of Shepard Custom Creations.
On December 11 of last year I emailed Eric to ask if he could make me a carbon fiber filler tab for my Hinderer XM-18. He got back to me quickly and told me that yes he could, what it would cost, please and thank you. I told him to go ahead with it and sent him the money. I didn't hear back from him, so I emailed him again in January asking about my order and when I could expect it. He told me that I should have received it by now, but he wouldn't be surprised if it was lost in the mail, as the postal service had eaten several of his packages over the holidays. He told me that he would make me another one and send it out. I thanked him.
In February, I emailed him again asking when to expect my order. He told me that all was done and he was going to send me a backspacer too (free of charge!), he just needed my address. I gave it to him and he got back to me a little later with shipping information and a tracking number.
A small package arrived today, February 11 (exactly two months later) and this is what it contained!
Not only did he send me the filler tab that I ordered, but he made me a backspacer AND a lockbar stabilizer all carbon fiber! My knife looks awesome now!
It did take longer than I expected (two months), BUT, and this is a big but, it was over the holidays, and Eric more than made up for it by sending me more CF accessories for free. This is how you run a business, making up for your downfalls and keeping the customer satisfied. And I AM satisfied
A big thank you to Eric at Shepard CC! All that's left for my knife is a hollow regrind from Josh over at REK. Josh, if you're out there, hook me up brother! My knife should be coming your way soon
