Experimental goblin skinner

There isn't anything more fun than to make something for the first time. That thrill which runs back and forth in your bones, before the very first try is unmistakable and unforgettable. I crave this notion like a junky craves his daily shot. It doesn't really matter what it is, tasting a new, unknown fruit is just as exciting as seeing an unfamiliar bug on my balcony, a new scenery with a strange unearthly lighting, a fresh movie or reaching 150 km/h an a 40 year old motorcycle for the first time, what was dead for ten years and could fall apart any minute. Oh the sweet firsts! Every first is like the first kiss, you don't remember the fourth or the two hundred twenty-seventh, only the first! That burns into your memory so deep, like a short circuited thick copper wire burns into your thumb, before the old school fuse has the chance to melt down. The seconds can never be compared to them.
The "first" of every experience consorts you unfaded till the end, when the distant relic of the very first breath finally meets the last and the great cycle is done.

Well, this type of handle is also a first :) in the long line of firsts I was lucky enough to experience.
It is made of normal oak, but it is mounted aslant, opposite to what is usually seen, so the growth-rings are all visible.

The blade is forged of barbed wire with 5160 steel core.
The overall length is 17 cm, the blade is 8.5 cm long, 3 cm wide and 4 mm thick at its base.

I ask 120 usd with postage included! ;) Paypal is ok.

Sold! If you wish to have a similar one, feel free to buzz me ;)

I'll take it if you will engrave your description on the blade. Just kidding; I'll take it anyway.

A minute ago gentleman took it, sorry!
But I would gladly make you a similar one in a couple of weeks, if you wish.

Why does one skin a goblin? Wouldn't there be better selections of skin where one would be with this knife..?? :E

That looks great! But is the handle less stable as a result of cross-cutting?

Don't think so. This is a really old piece of wood, I have it dried for about 5 years, and it is reinforced with epoxi and the blades steel tang from the inside ;)

It sure is, but when you finally manage to catch one, you couldn't resist the sick desire to torment it a little more ;)
