Expert opinions please, can this be fixed easily?

Glad you worked it out. Have you tried stropping it? Obviously you have the knife and I am just some guy on the internet, but it looks like it might just be a rolled edge in the pictures and you might draw the edge across a ceramic mug and strop it back.

Either way, glad you found a solution without resorting to another GBU thread :)

EDIT: Nevermind. I zoomed it on the pictures and saw little micro-chips.
In case you decide to save a couple of bucks and try sharpening it yourself after all, I have found that CRKs sharpen incredibly easy.

So, after a long visit to CRK I finally got my knife back! I was hoping to get it back last Saturday, since that was my birthday and the day the knife was actually made :D but I didn't get it until today..... nonetheless, the wait was worth it, it's like new again and perfect.

I'm glad it was so easy to work everything out with the seller, and it seems like a good bunch of guys on here. I got some good advice from you guys without any drama or sarcasm.......so often on internet forums people just forget to act civilized. Thanks everyone!

Gentlemen! It's called a 12 inch Norton stone. Works great and then back it with an ultra fine ceramic and / or strop.

Sorry for the late reply, I was out of commission for a couple of days. I emailed them and they sent me a form, but I could have just downloaded the form online. You state what you want on it and they do whatever you ask. I asked them to make it look like new, so they had to replace a couple of screws, sharpen the blade and redid the grips. It really looks like new!
