  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Extended Tangs...what's ya thoughts ?

I just did my first one on Joe's Terrasaur, and while its never been my knife preference, it did look cool, and didn't seem to diminish function at all...

Here are a couple of things I just don't do with knives:

1. Pound things
2. Pry

My grandad slapped me on the back of the head when he cought me about to do both of these and said I should just go get the proper tool for the job. In the wild, of course, that proper tool is a rock for pounding, and a branch for prying.

You hit the nail on the head Jim! They are custom knives because the customer can ask for what they want:). I'm personally not a big fan of extended tangs, finger choils, or thumb grooves......in the next month I'm making a knife that has all three:eek

I think once you try it out you may like it. I'm only worried that when you're done with it you won't want to give it up. :D
