Putting together a Knife grinding station in my shop(build thread comming soon).
I would like to install a 3 phase outlet that is connected to my KBAC 29. Ac power in is 220, on a 30 amp breaker. With this outlet in place I will be able to plug in a 9'' disc grider to also work off my KBAC 29.
Here is the question.
Where would I find the correct 3 phase outlet/plug for this method?
I have looked on line, but just get confused with the amount options.
A link would be very much appreciated.

I suggest NEMA 15 series. Such as NEMA 1530. Or NEMA L-1530

"NEMA" is an agency what standardises electrical products. So if its a NEMA part, it wont matter who manufacturers it, they are compatible.
(However quality differences abound, But they will correctly plug together.)
"15" indicates threephase with equipment ground, (4 conductors) 250V max.
"30" indicates amperage. "R" suffix means its a receptacle. Conversely, "P" is a plug.
The letter "L" prefixing the numbers indicates locking ("twist-lock")
Btw, locking is far more popular than non-locking throughout industry.

You can Google images "NEMA 1530" and wont live long enough to see everything.

TY Lieblad,
I have a length of cord comming with my Reeder package. If I buy that cord, and an additional plug. I will have all the parts to make both motors work on the KBAC

Let me preface this by saying I am not an electrician but I am not sure you can connect that VFD to a 3 phase power source, or (assuming your shop is at home) that you would even have 3 phase power as an option for your shop. The KBAC 29 is a single phase input/three phase output drive so I think what you actually need is an extra 220 outlet (similar to what you would connect a clothes dryer to at home). If you are not 100% sure about what to buy, or how to connect it, I strongly suggest contacting an electrician. Take it from someone who has paid people to fix their mistakes, sometimes it is worth it to pay someone up front and get it done right.

Yes the KBAC is hooked up as single phase in ,220 and 3 phase out. Instead of exiting the VFD to to the motor, I ran it to a 3 phase outlet. I then mounted a 3 phase plug to the motor and plugged it in. When I want to add another 3 phase motor to my shop (disk grinder) I will be able to plug it into the VFD the same as I did with my grinder motor

I realized that I misread your first post like an idiot. My bad! That makes a lot more sense. I recently ordered a reeder grinder as well how do you like yours so far?

So far I love it. Fit and finish is great. I have nothing else to compare it to.. But if I had to do it agian, I would buy the Reeder for the fact that the price for the base unit and the acces. was very reasonable.
