I just finished adding a bunch of blocks of very bold figured African Bubinga to our webstore.
These are natural hardwood blocks. If you prefer stabilized I will have some in about a month.
Click on the photo if you would like to take a closer look at what's still available. Prices range from $35 to $45.

Bubinga is actually a pretty tough wood even unstabilized - I have a kitchen knife with an oil finished bubinga handle that still looks great.

It can be a little "open-grained" sometimes, which means wet sanding to fill the pores works well.....but I'll bet stabilizing minimizes the need for that

Bill,
Your comments are right in line with some of my customers who have used it both ways.
Biggest difference between the two is the stabilized has most of the pores filled eliminating the need for wet sanding.
Some of the guys who used for choppers and hawk handles liked it better natural saying the open pores made a grippier handle.

This plank seems to have a bit finer grain and way better figure than any Bubinga I have cut up before.
The fellow I got this from treated me way better than I deserved.
