This is some very fine Lace Redwood Burl that was purchased from the estate of a Fine Woodworker who passed away several years back. The people I purchased the wood from guesstimated that it was from the 70s or earlier. It is very difficult to find old dry redwood lace burl of this quality anymore.
I am not sure how much of this I am going to sell. I only have a little more of this stuff. I recently started making pistol grips and will be using this same wood on some of the higher end grips I make.
This is natural Redwood. It has not been stabilized. Listed prices are for the blocks as they are. If you would like to have the blocks that you get stabilized I can send them in with my next batch of wood I send to K&G for stabilizing. Turnaround time is about 3 to 4 weeks. Cost for stabilizing is an additional $10 per block.
When you decide which blocks you want, just post "I'll take #s...." and I will mark them sold for you. Please be sure to indicate if you want them to be stabilized.

The first photo shows all the blocks together with a cut off piece I fine sanded and applied a finish. When stabilized they will probably become about 1 shade darker. The blocks have a slightly redder hue in person.
