WITHDRAWN, Thanks fellas for all the offers.
Hand-forged by mastersmith Tai Goo out of 1065 steel. Complete with bands of beautiful quench/temper lines (only visible in some lights) and a stunning combination of forge and brushed finishes. Handle is file-grooved rosewood with brass pins. This is a BIGGUN at 16 and 1/4 inches overall. Balance is forward, and the fit & finish are the best I've seen. For those not familiar with the work of Tai he forges 90-95% to shape so as to remove as little steel as possible. His work is that of his hand tools, an anvil, and a lot of blood, sweat, and tears. The only human to ever touch this piece was Tai himself as I have only held her with the utmost care and the use of cotton photography gloves.
Half of me says to keep this blade and just show her off. But you know the drill, necessity before luxury. Enough blabbing and on with the pics! Please be aware that there are a lot of pics and not one does her justice.
Thank you-
N.
