extrema proto

Is that a Micarta or wood handle? I'd like to see some "classy" materials like Micarta, instead of "BakeLite". Isn't that the old brittle plastic from the '30s?
 
material of handle is laminated wood, veri nice and strong, is monolitic and not have allen or rivets, actually for this model the handle is bachelite not monolitic and assembly with allen.

to me it looks a lot like the 1st version of the dobermann, not a proto. I might be wrong, though.
 
on knife is write with laser "proto", i buy it 1998 to Extrema, at this time the production wasn't start.
