Is the thing on the back of knife usable as saw?
IMO, I think it's kind of cool-looking, but that's the mall ninja in me.

I think the tanto portion of that blade is too small, but it does look cool, but being ER I know it wont be cheap so I probably would never buy one. Now one of there kukri's.............perhaps.

My buddy Zack... his uncle's make Fehrman knives, such as this one that looks a lot better than the Extrema IMO...

Is it just me or is it not nice if someone has a request for pics of a knife that he loves, that y'all go bashing his knife!!!

Just post some pics of Extrema Ratio's and keep the bad comments for another part of this forum.....,or keep them to yourselves!!!(even better!)

Agreed. We should try to welcome our newer members better.

ER has a lot of fans, and a lot of detractors. The knives do not look conventional. But hey, some people like to be different.

All I know is that I really want an MPC. Not because it looks pretty, but because it can scare dinosaurs.

If you want to bash ER, make a "Boy, ER Knives Sure Are Ugly" thread.

I think Cold Steel knives are retarded, but I don't go saying so in a Cold Steel picture thread.

1btd, have you used that knife? Does that saw back get caught in stuff you're cutting? It looks like it would. Just wondering. Not a bad looking knife though.:)

wow. Extrema Ratio made a real monster.
Impressing… But you'll face some difficulties
when slicing bacon for ya breakfast
btw testudo is for turtle, right?

I really don't think that sawback is meant for sawing through wood!

Actually.....,those knives with the extremely rugged sawbacks, which are often used by special forces all over the world, are designed to cut open aluminium and steel etc!
They are used to cut through car-doors,airplaine hulls etc!!!

Wood=no..........,metal=like butter!!!

So THAT explains why my hacksaw blade doesn't work! Doh!

Actually, I would hazard a guess that the Serrations on the back are more for use as a assist in trapping maneuvers with the knife in a reverse grip. Same concept was used on the Al Mar Warrior.

ER makes a quality product I just have no use for a knife like that.
Now I do admit I like the ER Col Moshin.

1badtackdriver, how comfortable is that handle when in use?

From how it looks to me, I'd think it would be extremely uncomfortable for anything other than self-defense or light use.

(For the record, I've also never handled an ER Knive so I am curious)

I didn't bash ER. Hell, I didn't even bash the knife, I just said it was ugly.

I saw a thread, clicked on it, saw an image of a knife, and had an opinion, so I posted it. It's a very simple and common thing.

Your friend walks up to you and shows you his new shirt, you think it's ugly, and you say so. Have you done something wrong?

Honestly, I'd be surprised if they put that much thought into it. IMO, these knives don't like they're made for reverse grip.

All 1btd did was ask for us to post some ER's,now I'm really pissed.At myself.No dig cam.C'mon feller's. :p
Hair and Walking Man and Raoul,ya'll are all
