Actually.....,those knives with the extremely rugged sawbacks,which are often used by special forces all over the world,are designed to cut open aluminium and steel etc!
They are used to cut through car-doors,airplaine hulls etc!!!

Honestly, I'd be surprised if they put that much thought into it.
