I'm looking to test (possibly pick up) Axe/Hatchet throwing. I'm looking at really cheap axes (price) but not super cheaply made.

I want to purchase an axe that wont break easily nor cost me alot of money so i can play around with my skills.

I was looking at these three axes here.

Im pretty new to the wonderfull world of tomahawks, axes and hatchet but there are a couple of makers here who could help you out with a very good throwing axes/tomahawk.

Welcome to Bladeforums!

Yes, there are some very good makers represented here. I also like the H & B Forge hawks for inexpensive throwers (www.hbforge.com).

Wecome to the Axe and TomaHawk Forum, Are you looking to get Into Axe throwing or Hawk throwing ? Competition Axe's are Real Expensive and harder to find, But for Comp. Throwing Hawk's I would check out Fort Turner and also Great River Forge and Coal Creek Forge, You can do a Google Search and find Fort Tuners Web-Site and Great River Forge has a Site also, And Coal Creek Forge Is here on the Forum, If you are looking for a Throwing Axe I think the Best buy on the market would be the Gransfors Bruks Throwing Axe do a Google search you'll find a Dealer there not Cheap "But you wont find a Cheap Throwing Axe" Here's a couple picture's of the G.B.'s, Good Luck !

I will add a +1 for Coal Creek Forge. I bought one of Steve's "$55 Spike Hawks" a few weeks ago and love it! It's also my very first hawk, and I wanted to try my hand at throwing, so I went outside, paced off about 5.5 steps and gave it a little toss. *THWACK* Right on target. And I'm a complete novice at hawk throwing, so yes, Coal Creek Forge hawks can be thrown and do stick. Now of course, I have to build a proper target in my back yard so I'm not tempted to throw at the mango trees anymore (I know, big NO-NO to throw at a live tree, but it was only a handful of throws and not more than one or two at any individual tree). I also now have to have many, many more hawks...:D
