These blocks were cut from a slab I found in a batch of wood we purchased from the estate of an old burl shop owner. Really old, dry stuff. Burl figure from edge to edge with cool colors and black lines.

Read before buying any of these blocks.
This is very advanced spalting. The wood is soft and must be stabilized before using. I recommend WSSI. This wood is like a dry sponge so it stabilizes very well. There will be some small scattered bug holes in the blocks that are difficult to see in the photos. About the size of a pencil lead. Many of these will get filled when the wood is stabilized but some small fills may still be required.

These blocks are all the same price; $15 each. Buy 5 or more and they are only $10 each. US Shipping is $2.50 each or $10 for 4 or more blocks because then they will go in a flat rate box.

When you see ones you want, just post "I'll take #s ....." and I will mark them sold for you. That way nobody can buy the ones you want out from under you.

The first photo shows a scrap piece sanded to 120 grit and wiped with a light coat of oil to give you an idea how this wood will look finished. It sucked up the oil like a dry sponge so plan on the stabilized blocks being a few shades darker. The grain and figure will become much more defined when you fine sand these.

The "for sale" blocks were photographed dry so they can be stabilized right away.
