In contrast to too many stories that are posted here I need to give knifemaker and member "Daado" a huge thumbs up. He recently put a very unusual knife up for sale made from a ball bearing recovered from the turret of a Hellcat tank destroyer vehicle.

I contacted him about making me a slightly different version and he responded almost immediately to my email. He happily agreed to make me my version of his knife, refused to take a deposit and proceeded to start making it. He kept me up to date, sent working photos, suggested an additional modification and upon completion he contacted me and we arranged payment via PayPal. After a slight hiccup with a modified email address assigned to my PayPal account that I was unaware of, the payment cleared and he then sent me both written as well as photographic evidence of the shipping details.

Note; Dalibor lives in Croatia, he mailed the knife with what appears to be the equivalent of USPS International Priority mail including tracking at no additional cost to me. The knife arrived; well packed and in perfect condition from Croatia to Los Angeles, CA in less than 10 days. Something to perhaps keep in mind when one of the more nefarious knife sellers out there claim that the post office is at fault for their own tardiness in shipping.

The knife is exactly what I envisioned, the workmanship is fantastic, I couldn't be more pleased.

I am currently waiting to hear from Dalibor about obtaining another one to give as a gift.

Thanks Dalibor, you did an outstanding job, I look forward to hearing from you about getting another "Hellcat" as well as seeing what else you will be making in the future. I know I'll be buying from you in the future.

Thank You John.

The knife was fun to make, and You are a great guy to deal with.
Dalibor

I saw that Hellcat knife, it was a fantastic-looking knife and I'm glad to hear you're experience was as good as the knife looked. :)
