  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Extremely Impressed!

I do love it so far; like I said before it has seen my pocket everyday this week and will continue to do so. I just wanted to mention that I am able to do the middle finger flick with it now. I have to use a little bit of a wrist flick with it, but not too much. This makes me happy, and I cannot put the knife down now that I know I can do it.

I have a standard Manix 2 which I really enjoy, but held one of the lightweights earlier this week. I was shocked at how much weight had been trimmed, yet lock up and stability were still top notch. Very impressive!

The lock up is rock solid. I think the price is a more than fair price for one as well.

Uh oh, you've been bitten now. I hope you realize that you'll be powerless against buying more Spydercos. They make some truly fantastic knives!

It's sad because all of the ones that I really like seem like they are always the most expensive ones too.

If you were impressed with the Manix2 lightweight with CTS BD1 and FRCP... wait until you try the new Manix2 lightweight with CPM S110V in FRN

Don't write off the less expensive frn models my friend. IMHO, the entire salt line are some of the most awesome knives they make. For about $60-$70 you can get an h1 full spyder edged pacific salt or salt 1. You might be surprised how much pocket time it wins. I own a lot of the fancy models and those salts remain at the top of my list of favorites!

Another vote for the FRN models.

Once you've touched the hole, you will never go back :)

Even the cheap Spyderco knives are impressive. My Tenacious is so buttery smooth in opening it's ridiculous for what the knife costs. I polished the washers and the thing just flies open. It's a fantastic knife, and holds its own against much more expensive competitors.

Once you get one you'll want them all!! I feel like its just a regular monthly bill now the way I buy new Spydies!

The one thing that made me say about the more expensive ones are that I like locks similar to the ball bearing lock. It was going to get the endura when I got the manix, but I just like that lock so much. Granted I have other knives that are lock back or liner lock.

I hear you, but man, some of those frn lockbacks are just so great! Anyway, if you like interesting and strong locks then a paramilitary 2 and a yojimbo 2 should both be on your short list! The yojimbo 2 is going to look a bit weird to you at first. I overlooked it for a year...I wish I hadn't. It is a spectacular knife! World class ergos and a very useful blade shape...and the smoothest action and tightest lockup of any knife I've ever owned!

Ok, that's enough for now. Go enjoy your manix for the moment, we all know you are going to end up with lots more. ;)

Welcome, and congrats ! You just opened up a hole new world in your knife buying !
No, I didn't mean "whole" :p

I'll have to check those out. I'm mad now, I just got the middle finger flick down, and smashed my my middle finger pretty bad last night. Now I can't do the flip for a few days.
