This knife will not win any beauty contests but it sure does it fit in the hand. It balances with just a little weight behind the guard and the low center of gravity makes it lay in the hand ready for use.

Forged from 1/4 inch 5160
Flat grind
Scotchbrite finish on the grind
Forge marks on the flats
Distal taper on the blade and tang
Curly maple handle stabilized in my shop
Overall length: 9 3/4 inches
Blade: 5 1/2 inches
Riveted leather scabbard

$140 ----SOLD----delivered to the US or Canada PayPal (gldrewknives@yahoo.com) check with time to clear or USPS money orders accepted.

Looks like a beauty to me.
I like the blade sweep, the finger guard and the handle shape.

Gerry,
Are you in some kind of "ugly knife" contest with Robt Dark. Both of you insist on making these ugly knives that I just can't hardly endure.

Now you have gone and hurt Robert's feelings. :)

I'll take it.

I've been looking for one of your knives for quite some time; this one looks good to my eye.

Thanks!

Edit: paypal sent.

Got your PP Rotte, your knife will go out in the morning. (I tell people I live in the mountains but you live in the real mountains; I am envious).

Fantastic Gerry.

I'm really excited to finally get a hold on one of your knives. The mountains out here are amazing, but y'all have some great hills too. ;)
This knife comes just in time for deer season. (Skipping Elk this year.)

I thought I'd hold out and get that one cheap. It was so ugly I was sure nobody would buy it!:D:D:D:thumbup:

I've seen a couple GL Drew knives get away because I was slow to act. Lesson learnt: he who hesitates reads someone else's GL Drew knife review.

Rotte: That is a quotable quote! And, not wanting to disagree with drducati, but....the eye of this beholder sees no ugliness at all in that beautiful curly maple, and the proportions of both the handle and the blade of this knife! Nice lines all the way around, and good score Rotte!

That "ugly " business is a joke between Gerry, Bob Dark and me regarding a knife Bob made that he said had "ugly stag" grips. It wasn't and I bought it.
All in fun.
I would have bought this one too but my knife budget is suffering the pain of reacquired motorcycle madness.
