Im sure that most of you steely eyed denizens of the wilderness dont need glasses but there are a few of us old woodsrunners that need a little help with the small detail work that snares, knots, fishing line, etc requires. I just need reading glasses but am pretty much lost to small detail work without them. I'm looking for something for my BOB that will stand up to hard use. Maybe folders? I had a pair like that once but cant find anymore like them. Any suggestions?--Thanx==KV

I used to like these for Altoids-tin PSKs:

They work fairly well, but I'd order a few extra to allow for the odd irregularity in a lense.

In practice, when I backpack I use a cheapish (<$20) pair of plastic-framed glasses I can pick up at any pharmacy or grocery store.

Funny you should mention that because I just took a good friend out recently and started him on the "basics," mostly the "mentality" and, being the good student that he is, he asked "what about glasses?" It's been on my mind for years but, given the cost, I have neglected it. What I wuld like to find myself is someone who would supply the ones they used to issue in the Army. I never could break those stupid things!
