Anyone have experience using the EZE Sharp and flat grind blades? I can't seem to get the clamp to hold the blade square in the flip - it wants to find home on one side or the other.

This isn't a problem with blades that have a shoulder to square up on... but some of my larger, most used blades are flat ground from the spine...

Help!

Thanks for looking,

John

I have had the same problem. I just index one side of the grind in the flip, then, when ready to do the other side, I remove and reindex the blade on the other side. Kinda defeats the idea of the flip, but it is the only way I have found to be consistant with a flat ground blade in the flip. I really want to get a wedge to solve this problem. same idea only much faster....I think...

I'm not familiar with the Ezy-sharp but if it has a blade clamp then a thin bit of hard rubber on the clamping surfaces will stop the blade from moving and provide some protection as well.
I have one blade that insists on moving in the clamp and I find a piece of masking tape or electrical tape on the blade stops it.
