I once saw a thread where someone wanted to know if anyone had or had used a sharpening system called Ezesharp that is made in Austraila.
I now have one of these systems and I guess my first impression was, gosh this thing is larger than I expected it to be. It is a rather large item, mostly the body that clamps on to a table top, shelf, workbench or something like that. It is well made and is heavy duty. The clamp, flip/flop device does have to be altered like the instructions say to handle small and med. knives, including folders. There is a lot of what I believe is stainless steel used to make parts of this setup. The clamp device appears to be stainless, and all the rods for clamping stones, including the nuts, and guide rods are also stainless. The bar that the guide rod slides on in the T bar is also stainless. The rest of the body and T bar is apparantly aluminum. This would be a great setup for larger knives where a person would want to use 1'x2'x6" or 8" stones. It is designed for 8" but can be shimed or sleeved to use 6" stones.
