I purchased this about six months ago and have never used it. I've removed it from the sheath several times and honed the edge to razor sharpness. I had it customized with the motto of the Lutheran Reformation: VDMA / Verbum Domini Manet in Aeternum (the Word of the Lord Endures Forever). Sweden fought for the Reformation and these were their mottos inscribed on their weapons.

Fallkniven knives from Sweden began manufacturing knives back in 1984. As fishermen and hunters for decades, they have used their knowledge to produce some of the most prized and beloved outdoor survival knives in the world. The A2 model is a large all-purpose knife for heavy duty use.
This A2 knife has a stainless steel 420J2 laminated VG-10 clip point blade that not only holds an extremely sharp edge, but is incredibly tough as well. The drop point blade is convex ground for extra strong cutting and penetrating power. The Kraton handle is textured and provides a great grip in all conditions. The tang protrudes at the base slightly (less than 1/16"). This Fallkniven A2 knife includes a premium leather sheath with belt loop.
