F*ck the Black Power Salutes during the National Anthem before NFL games

You say that the NFL should not allow their players to have a voice, yet you come here to Bladeforums and the Busse Forum to voice your opinion.

Sounds pretty hypocritical to me...

the NFL is a business. There are limits on what you can say and do in a business/entertainment setting. If the NFL wants to piss off much of their fan base with false narratives regarding social justice then they will lose money as a result. I do not work for the NFL, i am self employed and don't have a national stage to voice my opinions. I also respect the facts and i respect the flag, our anthem and our country. NFL players who want to protest against things that aren't real(false narratives) are certainly within their constitutional rights, however as employees of NFL teams i think there needs to be monetary consequences(fines) for these BLM fools

I will chime in-I am retired Military and though I may disagree how certain people go about protesting perceived or real injustices it is in fact (Their right) to do as long as violence is not involved and the rights of others are not infringed upon-Whether you agree or disagree is not the point, this is what make's America the Country it is! This excuse about to much alcohol or they should do a White Power Salute is nothing more than somebody wanting to sir up the pot !!!

I agree with the bolded statement. I also served with a few deployments. I may not like a certain mindset or disagree with a movement, but I respect their right to do so.

The unbolded statement, I must say, falls on both sides. Black Lives Matter instead of All Lives Matter is stirring the pot just as much. It creates an "Us VS Them" mentality on both sides which isn't healthy.

I'm for all of it: Black Power salutes, not standing for the National Anthem, and Black Lives Matter protests across the nation. Opposing this movement is unAmerican.

Zieg

Opposing everything is the definition of American.

All lives matter.

Parading your personal views while on your employers time and dime, when you are paid to represent your employer is a bad move. I know my employer has every right to can me if I hurt the company reputation if I do something of my own personal agenda.

Politically correct has ruined North America. Equality is a joke. Everyone wants to be "more equal" than the others. Asking if you are a minority on a job application is a joke. It shouldn't matter. It is based on skills. Not race or religion.

We were better off 50 years ago.

50 years ago, people of color were blocked from buying houses in certain areas by federal housing policy, directly contributing to the creation of today's ghettos and disparities in generational income.

50 years ago you didn't worry about terrorism....corrupt police....a possible president that might repeal the constitution....mass murders....having rights and freedoms infringed upon.

Look at the UK...they are banning knives like Busse. That is the path we are on.

To be fair, there are more than 4 billion people around now than in 1966. The party got wild.

Let's drink :D

Hey guys, not to halt the political debate because of its content... BUT... we are doing this in Jerry's sub-forum... it's our hangout, but it is also his place of business. I don't think it's cool to do this here; people might take this or that view to be representative of Busse Combat, and it may have ramifications. In a sense, let's respect his house, his "stoop" as we used to call the front steps of the building we used to hang out on when I was a kid.

Political debate is good... I just don't think this is the right place. Hell, I'm a professor of Gov't and Politics, with a specialization in radical thought, ideology, extremism, and political philosophy. But there's a voice in my head telling me that his is not the right venue.

Agreed and much respect to you.

Agreed where's a Mod when you need one?

This is the wrong forum for politics. That said, I do believe there are plenty of red blooded Americans that do frequent this place.

Bottom line is, folks need to learn that protesting the flag that represents your country and the people that have died fighting for that freedom is far different than protesting the government that oppressed you. People need to think before they act on any various number of levels.

meh, i just wanted to make a comment on this blog. you guys seem like good America loving folks so i thought this thread would be appropriate. i did have a few beers this afternoon tho, so my judgement could be off heheh :)

I love my country. Don't even question it.
With that said, you are dancing a fine line with this thread.
Watch it...

Add racist comments and you have my top 3 reasons to dust off the ban hammer, so please tread carefully, folks.
