I have a truly rare Axe for sale today. I picked up a Hults Bruk's Swedish Army Boys axe with a loose handle that had never been used. It was stamped with the triple crown which shows this was intended for the Swedish Army. It came with a hickory haft and the whole thing was painted Olive Drab. I knocked out the haft and cleaned the head back to bare metal. Sharpened the blade to the specifications set out in the Forestry guide - and blued and sealed the head. I purchased a straight grained Hickory haft from House handle. Sanded the handle back - rehung it with a Poplar wedge (no steel wedge) correctly.
I then sealed the haft with many coats of Boiled Linseed oil and built a mask for it. The mask is custom made, hand tooled, 8-10 ounce leather from Wickett and Craig. Hand stitched and a snap was installed tightly to prevent lose or damage.
250 shipped CONUS OBO.
Thanks,
TF
