This is a discreet, serious self defense tool from the early 2000's.
It was designed by martial artist Graciella Casillas in 1998.
Fires with authority.
This has been sitting around in a drawer, and does show marks from having been bumped around. However, it has not been used or re-sharpened.

Microtech QD Scarab, OTF AUTO, Green, S/E Made in 06/2003
This Scarab is considered to be a rare, vintage model constructed in 2003. It comes with the original pouch with sharpening rod and glassbreaker removal tool. This knife features dual glassbreakers, a two-tone OD-Green single edge plain blade, and a green handle with grip tape inserts.
The action on this knife is flawless and has a different feel than the newer production models.
It is 8 in overall length (8 3/8 with glassbreaker), 3 1/2 S30-V blade, and the handle is 6061-T6 Aluminum mil-spec hard coat anodized. The pocket clip and trigger are stainless. It weighs 3.9 ounces.
It has been stored in the pouch, so the clip shows some tiny marks on the edges from insertion and removal. The blade has some fine surface scuffs on both sides. I do not know if these are from an attempted honing, or perhaps from some use (e.g. cutting open a box?).
